Quality Management

Quality management is one type of management, the aim of which is to define and realize the quality policy of an organisation.

Our quality managers are able to direct an organisation, a production process as well as the quality of the goods produced thereby. Our highest goal is, in co-operation with our partners, to reach a state where the quality of a development process end product is secured by an avoiding approach rather than a correcting one (excessive testing before handing the product over to the purchaser). In other words, instead of correcting problems, an organisation ensures product quality by avoiding problems and working against their appearance.

Our approach for creating a quality system of such level consists of grouping all quality-related activities into a unified system and the gradual perfection of that system. The suitable step-by-step approach is the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle recommended by ISO 9000 standards.

The main steps taken by our quality managers in creating a unified quality system comprising all quality-related activities are the following:

  • Choosing an approach suitable for an organisation or a project for creating software, including an analysis of the roles essential to the development.
  • Participating in the development of a software creation process and integrating quality-influencing subprocesses (testing, reviews, documentation) in the suitable amount and way.
  • Participating in the development of testing strategies
  • Participating in the development of documenting (incl. plans) and coding standards
  • Participating in the development of the organisation and methods of work
  • Participating in the development of requirements for work results and describing the content of result reviews and audits.
  • Other activities in the competence of a quality manager, such as the administration of changes, participating in picking the necessary equipment for a task, involvement in evaluation and improvement processes, quality training of employees.
In other words, the task of a quality manager is the development and implementation of a quality system for the whole organisation.
